4WD control switch — replacement
1. Remove the switch panel trim on the leftof the steering column (see Dashboard trim panels and cover).
2. Depress the two tabs using a small, flatbladed screwdriver and pull the switch out from the instrument panel enough to disconnect the electrical connector and remove the switch.
3. Installation is reverse of removal.
4WD control switch test
4. Using a digital ohmmeter (DVOM) setto measure resistance, test the switch as described in the table (see illustration). If the readings do not match, replace the switch.
