Intake air control valve actuator — replacement
Warning: Gasoline is extremely flammable, so take extra precautions when you work on any part of the fuel system. The fuel system is under pressure and MUST be relieved before beginning the procedure.
Note: The intake air control valve actuator islocated on the intake manifold, near the throttle body.
1. Remove the intake manifold (see Engine).
2. Remove the two bolts and the actuatorfrom the intake manifold (see illustration).
i. 2 Remove the bolts and the actuator from the manifold
Caution: DO NOT remove the two nuts or bolt on the intake manifold — only remove the two bolts as shown.
3. If reusing the same actuator, inspect the0-ring and replace if damaged.
4. Installation is the reverse of removal.
