Wiper systems
Front wiper system Wiper arms
1. Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal (see Engine electrical systems).
2. Remove the cap from the wiper arm retaining nut (see illustration).
i. 2 Use a pocket screwdriver to remove the cap
3. Mark the positions of the wiper arm(s) to the wiper shaft, then remove the wiper arm(s) (see illustration).
i. 3 Mark the position of the arm to the wiper shaft before removing
4. Use a small puller, if necessary, to remove the wiper arm from the wiper shaft.
Wiper motor
5. Remove the wiper arms.
6. Remove the cowl cover see Body.
7. Disconnect the wiper motor electrical connector and remove the two bolts securing the windshield wiper motor/linkage assembly to the cowling (see illustration). Detach the linkage from the motor crank by prying it off with a flat screwdriver. Do not remove the attachment arm from the motor. Then remove the motor mounting bolts and detach the motor from the linkage frame.
i. 7 Two bolts (A) and one electrical connector (B) need to be removed
8. Installation is the reverse of removal.
Rear wiper motor
9. Remove the liftgate trim panel (see Body).
10. Remove the wiper arm cover to expose the wiper arm retaining nut (see illustration).
i. 10 Pop the wiper arm covers up to expose the retaining nut
11. From inside the vehicle, disconnect the wiper motor harness connector and remove the windshield wiper motor mounting bolts (see illustration).

12. Lift the windshield wiper motor assembly from the liftgate.
13. Installation is the reverse of removal.
Washer fluid reservoir and washer pump
14. Remove front bumper cover (see Body).
15. Remove the right-hand inner fender liner (see Body).
Note: It’s not necessary to remove the entire inner fender liner. Just the front section needs to be pulled back for access.
Note: Before removing the pump, drain any remaining washer fluid into a suitable container for reuse.
Washer pump
16. To remove the washer pump, disconnect the electrical connection and the fluid hose, then pull the pump out of the reservoir.
17. Installation is the reverse of removal.
Reservoir
18. Remove the fastener securing the reservoir neck to the radiator support.
19. Now pull the bottle neck upwards to remove it.
20. Remove the six retaining clips for the front and rear hoses, and the electrical connections to the washer pump(s).
21. Remove the three reservoir mounting bolts, then remove the reservoir (see illustration).
