Mirrors — removal and installation
Outside mirrors
1. Pry off the mirror trim cover on the inside of the door.
2. Remove the door trim panel (see Door trim panels — removal and installation).
3. Disconnect the mirror electrical connector.
4. Remove the three mirror retaining bolts and detach the mirror from the door (see illustration).

5. Installation is the reverse of removal.

6. On auto-dimming mirrors, disengage the mirror mount cover clips from each side of the cover and slide the cover down.
7. Depress the clip at the bottom of the base and slide the mirror towards the top of the windshield and remove the mirror (see illustrations).
i. 7a Using a plastic trim tool, pry up the clip at the base…
i. 7b… and slide the mirror up and off of its base
8. To install the mirror, slide the mirror onto the base, pushing downward until the mirror is secured.
9. On auto-dimming mirrors, slide the cover back up over the base and engage the clips.
Note: If the mount plate itself has come off the windshield, adhesive kits are available at auto parts stores to resecure it. Follow the instructions included with the kit.
